My fave boss, Wizeman. Here are a few things i've noticed about him while playing.
1. The first set of attacks he does are simple and only require 2 fast manouvers.
2. the thing that REALLY helps your score time with wizeman is when you grab hold of him do it at the VERY BOTTOM of him on his platform, because is you do it dead center you tend to get thrown backwards quite a distance to have to hit him again. By doing it at the bottom the invisible air barrier causes you not to rebound so you can get in 2 hits quickly. Also the other NiGHTS helps out sometimes if you do this real fast.
3. When he's been hit and he flies at you don't drilldash, go straight WITH him, before he hits you, then you're flying IN the direction he's going and you already have a head start on him without being 'hit', BEWARE though the meteor attack tends to HIT YOU IN THE FACE if you get too ahead of yourself, so only do it with the snowballs and the twisters.
4. I'm led to believe after playing it repeatedly today that if you hit him twice before 100secs he repeats the meteor stage (or whatever one you were just on). Depending on whatever stage you find easiest this may help or hinder you. I suck at the tornado bits due to being rubbishy at aiming at things while in drilldash so when i get to do the meteor one twice in a row it really helps. BUT im not sure if this is coincidence or if its completely random. Does anyone know what determines what place he warps to? One time i done it out of curiosity and chose to let him kill me without hitting him once, to see if he had a set pattern, and he never seems to repeat his first (bomb) attack, always the snowballs and the meteor rocks. If there was some way to get nothing but one attack in a set he'd be a breeze.
5. The best way to not be hit by Wizeman is to always stay at the VERY bottom or top of the screen (with the bombs and the snowballs).
6. I only ever fight him with a half full bar at least, so make sure when doing TS that you collect plenty of hoops and only drill when you really HAVE to.
Hope that helps someone out there :3

From what I've seen, the only way to hit him is by having both NiGHTS break through the barrier... Could be wrong, though.

This is what saved about 4 seconds...

I had this happen earlier today, but for some reason the first meteor stage didn't have any meteors. o_O

This is confusing me a bit - fly away from him (towards the directions he's going) then dash after he goes through you?

Only steadfast tip I can give (which is just common knowledge) is to wait until the other NiGHTS has grabbed the barrier and THEN drilldash his ass - it stops you from being deflected.
The trick to doing the "turn around and go after him while he's running to the other side" thing is to know where the meteors/tornados are going to be. I haven't done him in a while (cos watching the all "A" ending each time is a chore XD) but I remember "knowing" where the next attack was and being able to drilldash up to him without being hit. All his attacks have a set pattern and are easy navigated once you know it.
Damn, I wanna do Twinseeds now~

Ah, now I understand...
I also see how you've got a full dash bar to start off with, you cheeky monkey.

ps - I always hoped you could paraloop the various things that Wizeman throws at you right back at him - that would be cool (and if done right, save you loads of time)

I think the full bar thing is totally kosher for the fastest time on
Wizman as you can get a 2.0 on him easily through conventional
gameplay. But yeah I will admit I didnt realise it either, I am going
to slightly rename this and stick it on the page with all your other
boss vids if thats ok?

I get hit in the face with the meteors about 1/3 of the time, theres a
good way to do it, but you need to fly low under one set of meteors and
learn to judge when to move up to fly over the next set, this could
shave maybe a second or two off.
Now I'm really not the person who should be trying to suggest stuff to
you guys, but I noticed something weird when you pass through Wizeyboy.
Now, I'm probably wrong here, but usually when I fight him and pass
through I get an animation of him knocking me off balance and reducing
my speed a little, even when not dashing. Again, might be me being
strange, but I never got the animation when I pulled the L/R
triggersand did stunts as I passed through him, I couldn't tell if I
had avoided the slow-down because I was going fairly slow to begin with
and was very tired...but if this does block Wizeman's knock off
balance, you could add seconds on to your time by maintaining a decent
speed as you pass through him.
Again, I'm not entirely skilled, and if this helped you guys would
surely know by now, and I only hit the button by accident in the first
place, but if anyone can clarify or get any use out of it, it'll be you
guys.

thanks alot for the advice. You might like to take a look at this video.

Miles was kind enough to send it in a couple of weeks ago and its currently the best known Wizeman technique.
