Nice scores Ben! Looks like you're getting the hang of the stunt ribbons, and good to get your confirmation of the 6 bonus ribbons in SV3. I thought it could be done, but I agree with you that it's tight and probably not worth it if it compromises the scores on each ribbon. Good job on Splash Garden too. That Mare 3 is a tricky one because there aren't many good surfaces for the stunt ribbons, and Mare 4 always gave me issues trying to get all the chips at the start.
Keep it up!

Splash Garden Air Braking and Improvements

Splash Garden
Mare 1 - 111440 (SR) Mare 2 - 65810 (SR) Mare 3 - 109830 (PR) Mare 4 - 66720 (SR) Total - 696080 (PR)
Mare 1 Links - 405 (SR) ----
I've adopted the strategy of grabbing the items to the left of where the fountain pushes me off. However, instead of flying left, collecting them, and then turning around, I fly left and air brake. This allows me to instantly fly right with no time lost, and I'm able to collect those items every lap and max out my link. This lap can easily be pushed to 112k+ by being thorough in getting all items possible (eg. not missing one star in a two-star grouping, etc.).
In Mare 2 I merely ABP the group of chips near the beginning of the lap every lap. I get the link every time, and this method gives me enough time to do a full lap each iteration.
I don't feel like talking about Mare 3, heh. Sometimes I get amazing Dreamy runs considering the surface. Mostly, I get "Superb Tens!". Bleh. So it goes.
Mare 4 is my biggest issue right now. I typically only get 45k points because my first lap is a nightmare with me struggling to get the 10 chips in the background. Any tips / illustrations / sympathy on the matter would be greatly appreciated!
Oh, and thanks for the compliments, Charlie! Much appreciated.
Regards, Ben
Edit: I'm beginning to get the ten chips I need for Mare 4 within two loops, leaving me with enough time for all of the laps. I still need practice in that confounded tunnel, however. What are the link totals I should be aiming for in there?
Edit Again: 67k+ is totally possible in Mare 4, since I failed to hit the second switch on one of my tunnel laps in that 66k score. Also, a 66k Mare 2 should be within reach, as I counted myself missing 400 points in that 65.8k run. Mare 3 is still a pill. That new personal record isn't even 1k better than my old one; I'm just hoping for one decent, liberating run with that Mare...

Mare 1 - 113130 (SR) Mare 2 - 66310 (SR) Mare 3 - 132710 (SR) Mare 4 - 66720 (SR) Total - 738660 (SR)

No longer relevant to scores above. See the flurry of edits below ---> (So. That Mare 3 up there? Happened after I ran out of time trying to get 112k on Mare 1. And I would have, if my Air Brake didn't turn into a trick instead. I had another decent Mare 3 run where I had 110k before the final Stunt Ribbon, which I squandered with a Six. I've had the SR too many times and not gotten it this morning that I just need a break. It's so incredibly frustrating. Blargh.)
Regards, Ben
Edit: Okay. It was a bad Mare 2 (about 7k lower than usual ;_;), but I got a 128k on my Mare 3, so... here we are. I can rest easy. Whenever I can nab a digital camera from a friend, I'll get some proof up. Until then, take it easy!
Edit Again: I didn't like having a low Mare 2, so I re-did it. I scored normally on Mares 1, 2, and 4, while still getting a 123k in Mare 3. Not too shabby!
Edit the Third: In one last run, even though I only got a Ten on my first Ribbon, I ended up nailing 132k in the end! If my other Mares had been on top of it, 750k was in sight. Maybe I'll come back to this in a day or two and shoot for that.

Spring Valley
Mare 3 - 238230 (PR) Total - 888280 (PR) ----
So, after not playing NiGHTS for over a week, I come back for a quick game. My first time at Spring Valley, I get that Mare 3. I killed the final Stunt Ribbon at least 3 seconds early, too. I was kicking myself for not getting the 900k, which was only two Dreamies away! Oh, well. It was a miracle I even got that score.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: my first attempts are my best ones. Now, I suggest you all do what I did: power up your Saturn, and give any Dream just one go. See how you do!
Regards, Ben

Mystic Forest
Mare 1 - 118100 (SR) Mare 3 - 167890 (PR) Mare 4 - 57970 (SR) Total - 818320 (PR)
Mare 1 Links - 414 (SR) ----
So, I was totally unaware that one could actually squeeze in an entire lap before wrapping up Mare 1; I was always in the habit getting the Bonus Ball and then doubling back. But, if you have about 12 seconds by the time you get to the Ideya Palace, you should have enough time for a full lap. That Mare 1 score should be able to go at least 1k higher, as I recall missing about five objects in my linking.
Mare 3, I'm trying to do the six Stunt Ribbon strategy, but usually end up having to omit one in the last lap since I often forget to run the second ribbon of a lap towards the Ideya Palace. Also, it's difficult to mash an adequate amount of stunts on that first ribbon without NiGHTS bouncing all over the place.
Mare 4, I've been doing what you guys do in the overhead section: run through the rings clockwise so as to paraloop the chips and continue the link. I actually missed the chips once for that M4 score, so it can easily go to 58k. So long as I'm quick about it, I can do the loop about the chips twice. This Mare is, and always has been, a time-crunch for me.
Talk to ya later! ~Ben

Hey Ben
All your scores have been double checked and I made updates to SV, TS, and your boss times.
Cheers

The Silence Before the Storm (I can dream!)

Thanks so much for everything, Charlie. My semester just started, so I'm still getting acclimated - to classes and a sleeping schedule alike - and won't be too inclined to play NiGHTS until things settle in and I find a way to capture my runs. The latter will definitely fuel the fire to get some nice videos up at the least. I may go with the cheapest solution first (EasyCap) and set my sights on a bigger prize once money finds its way home to my pockets! I'll edit this post with some scores once they come up.
Best Wishes, Ben
