Fantastic scoring, Charlie. I look forward to spending a little time with Elliott sometime soon. He's gone largely ignored my NiGHTS life, but maybe I'll show him some love. Maybe not. Afterall, God really does hate him.
Regards, blackrabite

Learning the reverse lap on mare 1 is painful! I don't know about you guys but whenever I do reverse laps my hands get all tense and I grip the controller so hard that my thumb is just killing me. This happens to me on Stick Canyon's reverse lap too. Anyway, only a slight improvement on my mare 2 and my links for mare 1.
SV2 66100 - see next post SV1 Links 111 - see next post
Planning to spend much more time on this dream.

I do the same thing! I think most of it is because my thumb is still greatly unaccustomed to flying backwards, so in my attempt to preserve accuracy I tighten up a whole bunch. I think most of it just has to do with one's familiarity with flying the "other" direction. I also get super tense if I get a great Mare 3 and am about to break a PR / SR... I've even messed up Gillwing on account of it. Just keep working at it, and I'm sure you'll get it. I need to do the same, actually.
Best of Luck! Ben

Getting better at the reverse lap...my score is now better than my forward lap. With only a couple more dreamies I should be able to top the record. Tonight I got up to 210,000 on mare 3 so I'm getting close.

Hey, not a bad set of scores there! I'm pretty close to figuring out a solid Dreamy strategy for myself on Mare 3, so I'll see if I can give you some competition sometime soon. Good luck, Charlie!
Sincerely, Ben

Today was full of ups and downs. After beating the SR with a score of about 840k I made it to Gillwing with a potential of 860k but flew right into the back of his tail and there went my score. After enough time I managed to get another good score and pulled it off. With some more time I should be able to break 80,000 for mare 1 and hopefully around 250k for mare 3, but that's gonna be hard. Hopefully this dream can get over 900k with a perfect run.

Fantastic set of scores, Charlie!
First off, I didn't even realize 80k was a possibility on Mare 1. Now I really feel compelled to practice the reverse-infinite! I notice that you do the paraloop for that by starting at the top and going counter-clockwise. I rarely do any paraloops starting from the top, so that's something I'll have to get the hang of.
In regards to Mare 2, your score will improve drastically if you really try to get those two rings between the two sets of chips prior to the gust of wind. Also, as I've noted in my score thread, you have time for two or three normal paraloops around the chips and stars before the boost ball. Each time you make the link with the rings and the chips thereafter, it's another 1200 points I believe. See what you can do with that so long as you're going to be spending time in Spring Valley, aye?
Also, that was a damn fine Mare 3, sir. 900k is totally in reach!
As far as Mare 4 goes, there's not really too much to say. I will say that I've been trying to ABP the chips at the beginning and the end of the 45 link each lap. This ensures enough time to grab the two rings and three chips in the last few seconds of the Mare (in the unfinished lap). That's about another 1k so long as it all gets linked, so it's worth making some time for. Let us know how further scoring turns out!
Sincerely, Ben
