Is anyone else doing a three stunt run on SC3? Two full laps, then a back track after the second to get another ribbon. Or are there other strats?

Were it not for the fact that my DVDRs ran out a week ago and the new ones werent compatible with my player I would have been working on a 4 ring strat.
I basically ignore the link ball all together and make for 3 dash rings then going back for a 4th which I THINK is the best way of doing thing but i havent been able to get a decent score on the 4th ring due to running out of time.

My PR was with going for 3 link balls and 3 stunt ribbons (backtracking for the last ball/ribbon), but I'll give that 4 stunt strat a go - they do seem to always be the key to any mare that has them.

Yeah I agree, Im assuming that you would get a couple of thousand for each link ball and about 500 points for the stars in bonus times giving you about 7500 whereas the ring has a potential of twice that but the timing is VERY tight.

My best score (currently 153,320) was done using the 3 stunt ribbon / 3 link ball strategy. Same way as you, 2 full laps, then a back track after the second for the 3rd link ball and 3rd ribbon.
But it's so hard to get a consistent score of 150k (I've only done it twice), so I switched to a 4 stunt ribbon strategy, but I think it's different than Tab's method. I only do 2 full laps, then I back track into the magnetised area and grab the 3rd stunt ribbon, and go forward to get the usual stunt ribbon near the ideya palace for number 4. Still though, you have to absolutely fly through this course if you want to have enough time to pull it off. I actually find the magnetised stunt ribbon easier to get dreamies on, but I'm not sure if there is a way to use it more than once in bonus time?? Maybe you could do the second lap in reverse?? I'll have to try that once I get my new controller *waits patiently*.
