Not sure...
I guess it could possibly be a spider.
If you have access to the logs, you could check yourself - if you had a
look in the logs for that particular time, you could probably see the
referring pages, user agent (should be able to tell you whether it's a
browser or spider), and IP.

I also noticed that google seems to have misplaced it's indexes to
scoreattack.net, this may be to do with changing the extentions of the
pages to php, but not really sure - seems a bit more radical than that
since it's got no indexes to the forum pages which are aspx, and so
obviously won't have changed...
Also... Sorry if I'm being a pain... ;) The webring doesn't seem to work.

Could you link me to the location of the indexes for scoreattack? I
dont really understand how google handles these things, I will get it
sorted out though.
Also I had a look at the webring and according to my site traffic I am
getting a few hits from the ring and I am also able to get back to the
list and move to then next/pervious site in the list.
Any ideas what is not working specifically?
And TOTALLY dont think you are being a pain, im always totally open for
new information about things I could do better site wise.

You know when you do a search in google, you can search within a
particular site by adding the term site:bbc.co.uk (or whatever), if you
just put that term in without any other search string, google will
return all pages they have indexed for that site. So just put
'site:scoreattack.net' into google, and you'll see all the pages they
have indexed for here. Currently that's only the homepage...
The webring seems fine now, I guess it was just some technical issues with the site.

Tabitha, radical thought, but why not write an email to Sega (or Naka!) about the site. Maybe ask for Japan's best scores - maybe even Sonic Team's best scores! lol That would be cool...

I can't imagine you'd get anything, but there's absolutely no harm in trying, and you never know... :)
I noticed we're popping up in google again which is a good thing.
Tabi, did you figure out what was going on with uploading videos? I
couldn't find any on google, or youtube, so I'm guessing not...
