When I saw the news last night, I was well...Excited. *flashback*

Me: New NiGHTS?!? YAY! *has seizure all over place*

Still, there's no officail announcment yet. Of course, it's unlikly that three or more sites are all playing the same April Fools joke. Cheers everyone!

Exciting, but its not first hand confirmation is it? I'm still holding judgement until theres an offical word - CVG reported that Naka doesnt have any plans - and a Naka-less Nights 2 is that confidence inspiring.

No, not at all. I'm sure we'll see confirmation if there really is a new game in a month from now, right?

As far as we know about Naka, he could be lying. At least I hope. I agree though, he's the man that made NiGHTS what it is really.

I'd love a NiGHTS 2, but handing it over to the US based Sonic Team, words cannot describe how dissappointed I feel about that...

I'm with Evil on this. I'd rather Prope do it, or someone like Backbone (is that right?), who did Sonic Rivals (which turned out quite well and in the same 2D/3D vein).

Well, strangly enough, Naka said he wanted to "fill the children of the world with dreams."
Anyway, I haven't played Sonic Rivals, so I can't agree or disagree. So, if I get it straight, Sonic Team made Secret Rings right? That turned out alright, and if they're working on it, at least in Japan, it should turn out good. And if it doesn't....Well.

Yay! Pretty awesome. As all the secrets of the original are finally unraveled after 11 years, a new one comes along.

Woot. I cant wait. =) All sorts of new competitions and races and research and such.

I read the Boss Rush thing and didn't like it, either. Having said that, and I realise I was guilty of this at first, I don't like how a great deal of people I've talked to are already writing NiGHTS off without even having played it or seen it moving. I know Sega have let us down a little since the Saturn - it hurts me even to write that! - but this is a game I want so wholeheartedly to be right that I'm trying my hardest to get behind it.

Sega of America has it listed for Fall 2007 - pretty quick turnaround, I must say. I'll also say it looks great to me so far, a bit sparse but I'm sure it'll get better. I'm hoping my Sega-trained skills of blind faith will stand me in good stead!

We just have to wait and see I suppose. Theres a load of people that seem to want to write it off straight away, but I'm happy with details and pics so far - I just want to know if its keeping the 2D gameplay or not at the moment...
