??????????

I think we might get a bunch of new players if/when theres a re-release of the game, especially if on the Wii's VC

I wonder if it will me a onehanded nunchuk game, or adapted for the wiimote - dunno which I'd prefer.

A friend of mine sent me that article earlier, and I'll admit I have mixed feelings about it all.

A rerelease on Virtual Console is, to me, probably the best potential outcome. If they wanted to put a little work into it to tighten up the graphics that would make it A-okay in my book, but other than that I think they'd leave it alone. I haven't used a Classic Controller, and I'm not sure the Gamecube's notched analogue stick would work, so it might not feel quite right. We'd have to see.

To be honest, I still stick to my belief that there will never be a NiGHTS 2. There just won't be. The game's got a small fanbase and I'm honestly not sure what percentage of them even want another game, so if Sega can't count on them buying it how would they make it commercially viable?

I hate to push myself but I did make a short post about it this afternoon, which you can read if you like at my website.

Now a Burning Rangers 2 would be much more up my street!

Its kind of funny, I can always tell when a new nights rumor hits the net as the number of hits from wikipedia takes a massive jump. Its been like 30 or 40 hits from there in the past couple of days.

lol thats cool. How do you see the hits on wiki?

I've been adding stuff there recently - scoring, a-life etc though the mod doesnt like it being too detailed :(

Somewhat bizarrely I seem to be raking in hits from GoNintendo, Gamespot forums, SegaFans... all sorts of places. Perhaps I'm a reliable source of NiGHTS info, or maybe people were just bored of reading how it would definitely be NiGHTS :P

And personally I always thought adding too much detail to a game's Wikipedia page kind of negated the need for fanpages on the 'net :\

I will be greatly surprised if there is a NiGHTS 2. And if Naka is not in the mix, greatly disappointed.

Unless Wiki allowed galleries of fan art, fiction and homebrew games, a forum, raking tables etc (which it wont and I wouldnt want it to), I dont see how it can match well run fan sites (ie this one, nid.com). Its power is that everyone knows about it now. It a balance I suppose.
