108+120+120+52 = 400
I reckon thats how it will work.
M2 - something that I was experimenting with - dashing and paralooping in the bar section to break the link ball, thus saving you time compared to going round individual bars. If you could find a path through them with a big enough paraloop... and following it up with a dreamy. Theres 10 (?) rings after the bars, so you'd only need 24 within the bars to open the ball...
M3 - isnt there a star instantly accessible within each snowball? So in theory, you could dash through the centres, then paraloop out.
Ah, maybe you're right - but I'm atleast going to try to get 700k...
gsk
Interestingly enough, there is an extra lap, but not for the link. Its a nine second lap if you do the two paraloops, and 6 seconds if you don't. So you just dash through an extra lap and lose the link ball - it works out as an extra 1k doing that, as opposed to finishing the link ball and backtracking. In terms of the link number, its all about making really tight circles with the paraloops and your dashing between them. The first paraloop I grab the bottom right star, up and anticlockwise paraloop grabbing the top right and top left star, dashing out at 7 o'clock through the chips, letting any chips I missed and the bottom star to follow. With the second paraloop, I dash into the bottom item, and again up and anticlockwise grabing the top item and dashing through the middle, letting the far left and random middle ones to follow in the wake. The only time I ever stop dashing is during the paraloops and for a split second through the 4 yellow rings, just to adjust my path. Dont stop while going through the two sets of orange rings - there's just enough manoeuvrability to position yourself for the coming paraloops – the top of the first set, and the bottom of the second one. All that might only shave less than a second per lap, but they all add up and allow you an extra lap or whatever.
Also, collecting 18-20 chips before entering the palace and dashing through the first lot of chips and going straight for the capture – without worrying about the link ball on the first lap. That should open the capture at 115.
110k+119k+119k+52k=400k
Just got 110k on m1, using Lance's chip route before entering the palace first time, and my dashed through extra lap.
Also, with m2, I've been off by 1 link opening the link ball and dashing through the bars. Once you collect the big link ball, dashing at about 2 o'clock, with a couple of paraloops around the clusters of items, and paraloop around the final lot of chips at the top of the bars, then dashing through the rings and towards the stunt ribbon will do it I reckon.
What links are people consistently getting for m3 around the first snowball area? With the powerloop token, its about 55-60, 30/40 - haven't exactly done it yet, but I assume you paraloop the chips just after the small link ball to continue the link with the chips within the circle of snowballs, right?
m4 - still only 40k+, but getting there. That link ball is difficult. Is everyone doing more that 5 runs through the bobsleigh section?
Not a full lap, but an extra link ball opening. Dashed through the set of items left of the palace on the penultimate lap, which give me an extra second to paraloop the set of items after the link ball, to keep the link going.
If I kill the enemies, its a fluke - I dont break the link for it. Theres only two on the mare, so its only 800pts anyway, which isnt worth the time/breaking the link for I think.
Do you find that second nightmarian to be really hard to get? The one just after the link ball justgets in the way normally, but the other one...
As FB1 is down to just 400 pts, we're talking about missing 2/3 items making the difference...
