Cool thing with the little temple jobby

Okay, you probably all already know about this, but I only just figured it out.
Anyway, the temple thing with the link ball
at the beginning that you circle in Mare 3:
I just
found out that the pads on the corners (not sure what they should be
called) toggle whether the center is either open or closed. If it's
open you can actually go down into the temple where there's a link
ball, and a cavern full of stars. How cool is that. :)

Thats acctually a airly well documented little secret in the game but
DAMN hard to find on you own so credit for that my friend. Also might
interest you to know that the level you are currently working on is (to
the best of my knowlege) the highest scoring level in the game.
Quick question, how did you get that amazing screen shot? Im assuming some knid of model ripped from the disk?
Its awesome.

It was just from a google image search - it's some french nights site.
And finding that little secret was more luck than judgement.

Girigiri does screen shots well? thats kind of handy. I wanted to find
an app to do that. I have a load of plans for the site and screenshows
would be WAY helpful. I hear that yabause is starting to show promise
as well?

Yabause is fairly promising, as is Satourne, but at the moment both of them still seem too far away from being accurate / compatible to be really useful (in the same way that emulators for 16-bit or earlier consoles are). If you're after screenshots, my own advice would be to get them in the same way you're acquiring video footage (that is, from a real Saturn console,) because no Saturn emulators are really accurate enough yet to produce authentic-looking images; they'll almost always look "wrong" in one way or another, even if it's something quite subtle. (In fact, one of the main reasons I've sought out some video capture equipment myself is so I can get correct-looking screenshots from more recent consoles games without having to go through emulation!) If you absolutely need to use a Saturn emulator for some shots though, I'd recommend SSF if you haven't tried it already:
http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~phantasy/ssf/
...it's by far the most accurate Saturn emulator available at the moment, with the downside being that you need a fairly modern PC to run it at all. It's still not perfect (yet) though, and I've yet to actually try NiGHTS on it.
Failing all that though, if you just need some good screenshots for specific sections of the site I'll happily do you some myself, as it wouldn't really be much bother.

Thats a most generous offer and I might just take you up on that if my
continued fiddling with video capture doesn pan out. I think I might
just be able to do it, my main problem is deciding what to work on
first cause I just have too many ideas.
