At Scoreattack.net I aim to provide videos and articles documenting every score based aspect of the game that I am able while trying to learn more about the game itself. I hope to make this the best collection of high level NiGHTS into Dreams gameplay information on the net while fostering a friendly community of players interested in sharing ideas in our forums. June 24th - Luigi rewrites SM, Lavo5 Its been a while coming but the mystery that was Soft Museum has been solved and the solver was none other than our own Luigi Copola. It would seem that its all about using the walls inside the museum so get Small loops rather that getting chips, direction stunts or link adding yet another dimension of gameplay to what was already a very deep game. He has gone into detail on his findings in this thread so I would definitly go and check it out. Now for the scores, he has perfected the SM1 run, leveling the score out to a nice 105,130. Now come the meat and potatoes of the update the new record for SM2 is now a staggeringly high 100,990 almost double the previous score. The new SM4 is an equally impressive 91,230 and the final news is that the SMT record is now nearly 200 000 points higher than the previous record, also held by Luigi. Its now and absolutely stagering 698,720. This effectively mean that Soft Museum has gone from being by far the lowest scoring level in the game to potentially the highest! Great work there. Lavo5 was also active with a mixed bag of steady improvements most notable being the massive jump he put on his FBT June 21st - Luigi. Yet another round of improvements from reigning champ Luigi this time on Xmas NiGHTS. He has boosted most of his scores setting several records in the process. Notable ones inclue a total whitewas of all Claris' dreams with a new record total of 520,980 and a further improvement for Eliots total which now stands at 629,940. He also did a little work on the sonic into dreams mini game setting new records for both categories one of which still isnt shoing up to due to some wierd problem with the database. Will sort that out soon. June 18th - Luigi. SA.net seems to be going through another slightly quiet period, school winding up and things I expect. Luigi hasnt let that stop him from continuing his rampage up the high score tables though. He worked on Stick Canyon improving three of his PRs and his SCT to 572,940 which is only a shade under the current record. His SM1 SR has been further improved to 104,460. Another round of sterling work from the current champion. June 10th - Lavos5 and minor updates. Lavos5 is working on his scores rather nicely getting a couple of little tricks under his belt. Looks like he is getting the hang of star milking in TS2/3 and doing some work on the SV1 backwards link. He pushed several of his scores closer to that 300k mark. Luigi Did a little more work on Stick Canyon with a small improvement on his SC3 record now at 86,020. Most impressivly though he has now knocked Lance Way off the top of the Total Dream Scores page with a new record total of 3,715,840. I made a few minor updates here and there on the site thanks to suggestions from Miles and Luigi. June 10th - Lavos5 and minor updates. Lavos5 sent in his first set of updates with a few improvements on Mystic forest and Soft Musesum and managed to break the 300k mark on the latter with a new SMT of 328,960. Nice work there. I made a few minor tweaks to a couple of small things aorund the site thanks to suggestions from Luigi. June 8th - Luigi Luigi snags yet another record. This time it is the SC3 SR which now stands at 86,020. He mand improvements on all his other Stick Canyon Mares which led to an interesting change on the Total Mare Score table. Lance Way has been knocked off the top spot which he has held since he joined SA.net. Luigi now holds that place with a splendid total of 1,961,300 June 6th - Luigi, Lavos Luigi spent his weekend restructuring Claris's Dream from Xmas NiGHTS and snagged all 5 records from James and managed to change the look of the Mystic Forest table while he was at it. The new MF1 is 110,200 and Luigi is adamant another 10 000 or so could be put onto this to make it potentially the highest scoring mare in the game. I was just edged off the top spot for MF4 with a new record of 49,120. Well done as always. We have a new player and 50th forum member in the form of Lavos5 who submitted a complete set of scores, including boss times (several 2.0s). His scores are hovering just under the 300 000 mark but with luck he will be working up the tables and snagging records before too long. Welcome to the site! June 2nd - Proof and fixes. A little quiet recently again but a couple of intersting things have happened. I fixed a couple of errors with the Xmas NiGHTS records page and finally put in Luigi's amazing time attack and link attack scores. He was kind enough to provide some proof pictures which are also now linked from the records page but I thought you might enjoy a little bit of history. Also Miles appears to have gotten himself a video pcapture device of some description or possibly a DVD recorder and graced us with a shiney new version of his Gillwing Video. Good work to all an thinks very much! 27th May - Luigi Still having some problems fixing the times on the Xmas NiGHTS page so I think Luigi decided to draw attention away from his simply awesome sub 9 second Time attack time by pulling something everyone thought was impossible. He has only gone and clocked Link attack. Thats right people the new site record for Xmas NiGHTS time attack (and probably the world record for that matter) is now 9999 and thats as high as the link apprently goes. Luigi had a few words to say about this himself which are far more eloquent than what I usualy come up with. Quite a surreal experience to be honest... it took about 350 laps, just under an hour of constant playing. You're mind just wanders, and you have to reel yourself back in, as its so easy just to lose the link at any point. After I just had this big smile on my face, laughing, almost felt like I had gone mad for a second. Kind of like a Nights moment of Zen enlightenment... or is that taking it a bit far? -_- He also boosted several of his Xmas NiGHTS scores and snagged most of the records from Lance and boosting Eliots XMT to 616000
